TRAGIC: Nollywood filmmaker, producer of Issakaba, Mr Ibu And Aki & Pawpaw, Kasvid, killed in auto crash. A Nollywood filmmaker, Chukwuka Emelionwu, popularly known as Kasvid, has died. Emelionwu, was reported to have been involved in a fatal accident along Oraukwu, on his way to his village in Anambra State on Wednesday. He, however, came out of the accident alive, but was knocked down by a hit and run driver, while attempting to cross to the other side of the road. Kasvid is famed for producing some of Nollywood biggest hit movies like Mr Ibu in London, Issakabba and AKi and PAW. He is also the owner of the famous Kas-Vid Pictures. Some of his colleagues have taken to social media to pay glowing tributes to the filmaker. May his soul RIP

The Benue State chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Abba Yaro has described the massive killing of over 50 Benue people by the Fulani herdsmen as an invitation for Civil War. In a Statement issued in Abuja, Yaro decried the recent killings as an attempt to spark second civil war in Nigeria, insisting that, it is clear case of ethnic cleansing around the Benue Valley which must be stopped immediately.
