Fani-Kayode reacts to Osinbajo’s ‘attack’ on Christian leaders over ‘Islamization plot'   Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo’s declaration that it was impossible for anyone to Islamise Nigeria. Fani-Kayode berated the Vice President for lambasting Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, for raising alarm over Islamisation plot. Noting that Nigeria was now a member of the D-8 countries which have one thing in common “Islam,” the former Minister wondered if Nigerians should keep quiet. Maina in a video already trending on social media, said he has not left Nigeria. The former pension boss said there’s no money missing anywhere, adding that he went into hiding because some people were trying to assassinate him. Maina said he was not a thief and has not stolen anything rather, he has documents that would expose the real thieves. According to him, “We know where these monies are.” He called on Nigerians not to believe the rumours about him, saying that he never stole N195 billion and alleged that N300 million was being stolen every day. BREAKING: Man jumps into Lagos lagoon A yet-to-be identified man Friday afternoon jumped into the Lagos lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge. ​Officials of the ​Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Marine Police and other ​relevant agencies are at the scene​.​ Earlier in the year, a man jumped into a canal in the Festac area of Lagos State. In another incident, a 58-year-old identified as Taiwo Titilayo Momoh, was rescued from jumping into Third Mainland Bridge.

Buhari's speech at D-8 summi President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday in Istanbul urged D-8 leaders to prioritize incentives and measures aimed at increasing trade and investments among member countries. Speaking at the ninth summit of the D-8, President Buhari said the private sector and business communities in the economic organization must be assisted with incentives to widen economic cooperation among member-states. ‘‘As the D-8, we need to intensify our activities with a view to enhancing various measures and incentives introduced to promote trade and assist the business communities from Member States to invest in our countries and widen our cooperation. ‘‘We need to work hard to establish integrated manufacturing structures and markets.
